OppenheimerFunds raises stake in Yandex to 6.41% from 1.8% in 2018

MOSCOW, Jan 15 (PRIME) -- U.S. fund OppenheimerFunds raised its interest in Russian Internet company Yandex to 6.41% in 2018 from 1.8%, according to the fund’s documents released on the website of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, seen by PRIME on Tuesday.

The fund owned 18.365 million shares of Yandex as of December 31, 2018.

OppenheimerFunds acquired 5.11 million shares, or 1.8%, of the Russian company in late 2017, when it resumed purchases after a withdrawal from Yandex’s capital at the end of 2015.
